Project: TeachBook
TeachBook is a desktop app for teachers to manage student contacts. The user interacts with it using a CLI, and it has a GUI created with JavaFX. It is written in Java, and has about 10 kLoC.
Given below are my contributions to the project.
- New Feature: Added the edit class command to the TeachBook.
- What it does: Allows the user to change the name of the currently selected class without altering the students inside the class.
- Justification: There are cases where users make spelling mistakes for class names, and this feature allows them to fix the mistake without deleting the class and creating it again.
- New Feature: Added the overall grade structure to the TeachBook. Java class for Grade, edit/set/reset grade and grade command for grading students.
- What it does: Allows the user to set a personalised grading system in TeachBook which the user can then use it to grade students accordingly.
- Justification: This feature helps the user with the overall grading experience.
